If you’re looking for pristine shores, stunning views, and epic beach chic architecture, look no further than the St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point. Dashing Events had the absolute pleasure of DJ-ing a lovely vintage wedding there a few weeks ago. We also had Zaffe dancers and provided uplighting for the event. With a backdrop like this, it’s so easy to make it work!

Cocktail hour was on the green with beautiful vintage decor and furniture. The Zaffe grand entrance started during the cocktail, making a statement, leading in the bride and groom in. The Zaffe dancers created a palpable air of festivity in the very open space and the guests were hooked. They circled the bride and groom and chanted and danced to the beat of the rhythmic live drums.

Since the wedding guests were largely conservative Muslims, there was time set aside to pray before dinner in a beautiful decorated area on vintage rugs.

After the prayer, dinner was served. Then: the party. We busted out the debka drummers again. Because of the conservative crowd, the dancing was actually segregated—women in one room, men in another. The women danced non-stop until the end of the night while the men conversed late into the night.

This stunning wedding wasn’t just a standout in its beautiful decor and design but in its celebration of religion and culture too.
